Ingredients

  • 2 cups gari
  • 1 pouch or jar of Sedeli Foods Jollof Sauce
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 tin corned beef
  • 2 eggs (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (optional)
  • Water, as needed
  • Fried plantain, for serving

How to make garifotor

  • Heat the oil in a pan and saute the onions until soft and fragrant.
  • Pour in the Sedeli Foods Jollof Sauce and let it heat through for a few minutes.
  • Add the corned beef and stir well. Crack in the eggs if using and cook gently until done.
  • Sprinkle a little water over the gari to slightly soften it.
  • Reduce the heat and gradually stir the gari into the sauce until evenly coated and fluffy.
